Project development background:


The operation of modern society relies on stable power supply, especially in key areas such as industrial production, urban infrastructure, and commercial buildings. At the same time, with the intensification of global electricity demand and the transformation of energy structure, the requirements for the operation and maintenance efficiency, energy utilization, and data management of the power system are further enhanced, and it is urgent to build a more intelligent, automated, and efficient power operation and maintenance defense line.

To this end, a globally leading technology-based multinational company, in collaboration with CHIPLY, has designed an electrical cabinet service unit for digital distribution systems. It can serve as an intelligent edge management for various electrical cabinet devices on the distribution side, helping to upgrade and optimize the entire distribution system intelligently.



Project supporting requirements


Traditional power distribution systems generally have three major problems:


(1) Device information silos lead to low collaboration efficiency


(2) Relying on manual operation and maintenance is difficult to quickly troubleshoot power failures


(3) Lack of data support for power energy efficiency management

To address these issues, it is necessary to deeply integrate the equipment, sensors, communication networks, and data analysis platforms in the power distribution system during system design, ensuring transparency and interconnectivity of power data.



Therefore, the customer has the following performance requirements for the electrical cabinet service unit:


(1) Diversified I/O interfaces and network protocols, compatible with various devices/platforms for access and data exchange;


(2) High performance computing unit, supporting real-time monitoring of system operation status and device control;


(3) Scalable storage, supporting energy efficiency data, operation and maintenance logs and other big data storage, upload and analysis;



In addition, the deployment environment of the power distribution system is complex and requires addressing challenges such as high temperature, high humidity, dust, and electromagnetic interference. The customer is highly concerned about the environmental adaptability and durability of the equipment.

The C-GK15WQ has a built-in PCIE standard interface and supports wireless modules such as 3G/4G/dual band Wi Fi 6 for remote monitoring, cloud data synchronization, and maintenance upgrades. Compatible with multiple industrial communication protocols, it can be integrated with industrial or building automation systems to achieve centralized management on the cloud.



C-GK15WQ also provides industrial grade interfaces such as 4 * USB, 2 * COM, 2 * Gigabit Ethernet, and 6Pin terminals, supporting docking with smart meters, sensors, PLCs, and other devices. Through data collection, it accurately perceives the system status and achieves fault diagnosis and warning.

The C-GK15WQ is equipped with a 19.1-inch 16:10 high-definition widescreen, which is compatible with customized HMI interfaces and supports 10 point capacitive touch (upgradable resistive screen compatible with insulated glove operation scenarios). The 3mm ultra-thin front panel is specially designed for electrical cabinet equipment, with simple and stable embedded installation, easy system deployment, and fast integration. The aluminum alloy body and fanless design make the whole machine stronger and more reliable.
